Electrical Design & Installation
The NIC EIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) is a consumer safety organisation set up to protect against unsafe and unsound electrical installations. It is the independent regulatory body for the electrical industry.
Excel are able to carry out a range of electrical works from a single socket to a complete electrical installation including all elements such as new distribution boards, power circuits, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms etc.
Our engineers are qualified to carry out NIC EIC periodic inspection reports (now electrical condition reports). This is an inspection on the condition of an existing electrical installation and to identify any deficiencies against the current edition of BS7671.
All of our testing engineers have obtained the City & Guilds 2391 in testing and inspection of electrical installations.
Excel Data Services can provide a full range of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions from APC, they offer a complete range of solutions from a single PC to a complete server room.
UPS systems up to 2kVA are generally user-commissionable and can be connected to a local electrical supply through a standard plug-and-lead connection, with output sockets (IEC or UK square-pin) built-into the device. 3kVA systems tend to have a 16A commando plug arrangement in the UK due to the amperage of their supply with IEC or UK square-pin output sockets. These systems may require upstream electrical installation changes including additional electrical circuit feeds and isolators and downstream power distribution points. UPS up to 3kVA may also be supplied hardwired and will therefore require connection by an NICEIC approved electrical contractor.
Excel Data Services are an NICEIC approved electrical contractor and together with the UPS sytem are able to offer a tun key UPS power installation
